Position Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as the Facilities Maintenance Worker. This position is responsible for general facility maintenance and upkeep of the property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance tasks across all areas of the mine.

• Complete basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting work.

• Repair and maintain floors, sinks, walls, doors, and roofing.

• Service and maintain heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning units.

• Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and other items as needed.

• Work with the purchasing department to maintain supply inventory.

• Perform exterior property maintenance, including parking lot upkeep, weed removal, and snow removal.

• Maintain custodial rooms to ensure MSHA compliance including cleanliness, organization, and proper storage/labeling of hazardous materials.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic facility maintenance tasks and troubleshooting.

• Two or more years of experience in general maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, septic, and painting.

• Ability to operate a computer system.

• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and good communication skills.

• Ability to operate independently but must be able to work collaboratively with other team members.

• Electrical Certification is preferred or willingness to obtain - additional certification pay applies.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials (up to 60 lbs).

• Capability to bend, stoop, climb, reach, push, and pull.

• Physical stamina and the ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, humid, and dusty areas.
