Monday-Friday 6:00 am to 1:00 pm

SUMMARY

Assists in preparing foods for the daily operation of the nutrition program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Washes, peels, cuts, and seeds vegetables and fruits
Follow the food production log to complete daily activities
Cleans, cuts, and grinds meats, poultry, and seafood.
Dip food items in crumbs, flour, and batter to bread them.
Stir and strain soups and sauces.
Prepare meat, pasta, seafood salads
Weights and measures designated ingredients according to standardized recipes.
Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator.
Stores food in designated areas
Cleans work areas, equipment, and utensils, segregates, and removes garbage, and steam cleans or hoses garbage containers.
Distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
Records food and supplies used in an inventory log
Adheres to all health, sanitary, and safety regulations.
Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must pass a criminal background check.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
