About the Role:

The 'To Go' position is centered around efficiently managing and fulfilling customer orders for takeout and delivery services within a fast-paced environment. The primary goal is to ensure that all orders are accurately prepared, packaged, and ready for timely pickup or delivery, maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This role requires close coordination with kitchen staff, delivery personnel, and front-of-house teams to streamline operations and minimize wait times. Additionally, the position involves handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues related to orders, thereby enhancing the overall customer experience. Success in this role contributes directly to the business's reputation for reliability and service excellence in the competitive food service industry.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic experience in food service or customer service roles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience specifically in takeout or delivery order management.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and online ordering platforms.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize orders during peak times.
  • Bilingual skills to assist a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process customer orders accurately through various channels including phone, online platforms, and in-person requests.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and packaging of food items according to customer specifications and safety standards.
  • Manage the organization and staging of orders for efficient pickup or delivery, ensuring all items are complete and correctly labeled.
  • Communicate effectively with delivery drivers and customers to confirm order details and estimated pickup or delivery times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the 'To Go' area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

The required skills such as effective communication and attention to detail are essential for accurately processing orders and ensuring customer satisfaction.
